The Heritage & Arts Commission will be hosting an artist’s reception for painter Guillermo Kelly on February 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Community Room at Town Hall. A native of Mexico, now a Corte Madera resident, Guillermo is an accomplished art teacher, muralist, sculptor and furniture designer and has made his living as an artist in Mexico and California for over 3o years. His painting of the Golden Gate Bridge from the Tiburon shoreline won both the Judges’ and People’s Choice Awards at last years Tiburon Art Festival’s plein air competition. This exhibit, “Recent Marin Paintings”, features oil paintings of stunning views around the County, including several of the Tiburon Peninsula. The exhibit will be on display until the end of March.
